My black and white Central Park Photography usually gave me a great sense of peace. I could stand by Turtle Pond for hours. Hang out between the two willow trees on the boat lake.
It goes back a few decades. Poets Walk, which was photographed in 1993 with a large format camera has been sold and licensed at least 1000 times over the years. It’s kept me alive during tough times. And the Skating Rink shot won first prize out of 10,000 entries.
Being raised in the Bronx, Central Park was a great treat for us as kids. It felt like this cultivated enclave in the heart of the urban grime.
