With the recession settling in, many retailers have been selling mannequins a la carte. Here, KMart is having a sale on mannequin legs. What the legs are used for, I’m not sure, but they come complete with beach slippers (rubber soles) and slacks.

When I first saw them, I didn’t know what they were. After a few viewer responses, and my own investigation in the supermarket the secret can be told: avocado pits.
