Made my way out to Coney today.  I usually get my best shots on the N or the Q train on the way out there; but today I did well on the beach as well.

It’s a 10-string instrument; five strings each doubled by an octave. The fellow playing it is very good. Not really a guitar. I think he called it a Kantele. He had to pronounce it a few times for me - maybe I misheard.
