Midtown Manhattan. Home of the New York Public Library, Grand Central Terminal, the Chrysler Building and of course the number one tourist attraction in New York – still – the Empire State Building. Parks galore from Bryant Park to Madison Park. You can spend a lifetime photographing this section of Manhattan. Oh, and of course there’s Times Square.
The General Electric building through the New York steam. This was shot around 1992 with 35mm black and white film. Of course I walked by this building just about everyday for 10 years; and this was the best shot from that era.
Media: 35mm IR film It’s not easy to get a halfway original shot of the Chrysler Building. What I like about infrared film – you just never know ahead of time how a building will appear and this white version was a surprise.
