Again… just walking around… this is photomerged with PS CS3… I shot four frames, but one of them is barely used in the shot. This sort of thing is the easiest to do since you just walk from one spot to the next and stay perpendicular to the subject… No distortion to futz with… These sort of big prints really don’t come across well with my 650 px limit in the blog… but you get the idea.

Park Avenue Montage
This was done with 9 images from the 40D and photomerge in Photoshop. A hell of a lot easier than doing it by hand in photoshop. I’ll probably take down the saturation in the ultra green hedges. And maybe straighten the perspective a touch. But what would have taken me hours by hand was done in a few minutes with the photomerge thing in CS3.

The technique for the color stuff is pretty simple in Lightroom. There’s no masking or anything complex involved other than trying to figure out what works. Assuming you start with a color image, simply turn off the saturation on everything, and one by one see what happens when you saturate one color. Then if you find something that’s close, you can change the hue a bit, increase the luminosity etc. Anyway, this was done with just the yellow channel. And the Woman in Red (below) with - yes - the red channel. I haven’t gone out yet looking for color - but who knows - anything is possible.

I was asked to do some color work for a design agency. This is not for them, but just a sort of hangover from experimenting with color. I suppose my color sense is a bit warped by this point. Obviously I’ve been fooling around to see how few primary colors I could get away with.
