Strange… All the payphones along 57th street from 3rd avenue to fifth, were off the hook last night.

Dave, this photo is definitely a sign of the time–guy talking on cell phone with a bank of out of order pay phones in the background. I read somewhere the only reasons they keep pay phones around in NYC is for the advertising space.
