Getting A Drink & Camera Rambling

Down in the Wall Street area a few years ago. No - more than a few years ago since I remember shooting it with a Contax SLR which I had just picked up at Wall Street Camera of all places. I think they went out of business more than a few years ago. I remember this nice big dog they had that just sat in entrance and sometimes you’d just step over it. Well - pretty much anything that I ever shot around Wall Street was because I had just visited them. Man - loved the Contax lenses (who wouldn’t) but I never really liked their SLR bodies. They tried so many weird things towards the end. (Except for the viewfinder, I did like the G2 which I stuck with for a few years).
The only major food group, uh camera manufacturer that I never got into was the Hass. Could have been the cost. I don’t know. Friend of mine had one that I’d hold once in a while - but never took to it. For square format - I liked the Mamiya 6 and the Rollei TLR. the TLR was one of my first cameras - and I took it to France and somehow or other screwed up the development when I got home. Shame. I don’t get overseas often (three times so far). Always to the same hotel in Paris. At some point I’ve really got to get out of this city and refresh my eyes. Ah, this is the perfect time to hang at a Parisian cafe and watch the world go by.
Well anyway - I may be posting older stuff once in a while as I’m going through thousands of images for the books I’m working on. At this point:
1) Catalog (done - a lot of images but with many on same page)
2) Central Park (almost finished - 45 images)
3) Framed Dreams - New York People (just starting to figure this one out)
and eventually the big one - which I change the name of everyday. This one will be the mother of all POD books: the southwest, paris, belgium, new york, new jersey, and some things from California.

You don’t need clearance to sell prints with people in it. You need it if you are going to sell for “commercials” purposes, i.e. print ads.

Oh yes. My favorite was 139QD and 50mm/1.7 and 135mm lens. I think 139q was a fine camera.
I wanted to ask you one thing - quite often one can recognize people in your images. How do you manage to sell these images? Getting hold of these people for clearance isn’t easy, or?
