Me by Matt

Here is what I look like when I’m trying to do my invisible street photographer pose. I hope this works for a picture of me since I’m constantly asked for this for students papers. Why they need a picture of the photographer; not to mention my birthdate (1951) I don’t know. I handed the G9 which I was testing at the time to a real street photographer (Matt) - click - and here you go. My coat is bright yellow. I’ve been wearing it every winter for about 8 years since I took a trip to Florida, returned to New York and though that the New York streets needed a bit of color.
The Pope is going to be in my neighborhood tomorrow (Yorkville) and I’m going to make a special appeal to him to remove the worry lines above my nose; and to work on the dark shadows under my eyes that I’ve had since I was 10 years old.

I’d just do the line removals in Photoshop if you don’t get to speak to the Pope!

Ha hahahaha! I had the same thought as Oliver - that you would pop out among the crowd in a bright yellow coat. But obviously it works for you!
I would have thought a coat with one of those gray-on-gray camo patterns would have been better. Also, I understand that in New York City, you can buy grayish or brownish coats with Art Deco patterns on them, so that you can press your back up against, say, the Chanin Building and fade into the background.
Best regards,

Dave, I’ll take the characterful face of experience over a smooth skinned idiot any day.
