Laugh, Carriage

I can stand on my corner, 83rd and 2nd and see just about every human emotion pass by within an hour or so. What are your favorite spots to shoot? Do you have a favorite corner? For shooting in the city, it does have to be a corner, as opposed to just standing in the middle of the block for obvious reasons. This corner is also good because there’s a bit of an awning for shooting in the rain.

I like this, very nice! The framing is excellent
I’ll be in New Jersey this summer for a week. I’ve heard that the “old” Coney Island is being closed down / redeveloped. Is it still there? Is it worth a visit?

Rory - The old coney island is still there and definitely worth a visit. As of today
Rushi - photographing people on the street is a specialized skill and if you are doing it right you usually don’t get too many objections. You become sort of invisible. I’m doing this for a few decades now - and in all that time the only people that I’ve ever gotten into any big thing with are the police who are now trying to protect everybody from terrorist photographers.

Do you know the movie Smoke, with Harvey Keitel? Check it out Dave, I think you’ll like it.

Excellent capture, I’ve got to try the corner stakeout thing some time…

I wonder, when you stand on your corner - do people take any offense to you taking a photograph of them? Does anyone object? I am mostly a landscape, cityscape photographer so I am always intrigued by such issues.
