Infrared Gallery 2007

I thought I’d put a bunch of the infrared film shots together in the blog - and so here they are.  I’m starting to think about how I’ll do this with digital.  There are a few places that will alter a Canon DSLR for you… not sure which is the best way to go.  I want to keep in the Canon line with all this.

Dave, don’t know how much of an issue it is with your Canon lenses but it may be worth looking for someone who can adjust the AF point on your modified camera to match it with your lens. I know lifepixel offer that as part of their conversion service. They use a Canon 50mm f1.8 as standard but can apparently tweak the camera to match any lens you send with the camera at conversion. I modded my own camera and use hyperfocal guesswork hoping to nail the focus which usually works well enough. If I can find out how I’ll have a go at adjusting the thing myself.
Great to see all those IR shots grouped together!!

I’m thinking about lifepixel also. I’d probably have it set for my 30mm lens. Lots of DOF for IR and the 50 is too long for most of my IR work.
