Hey Joe!

18 March, 2008 (14:09) | Subway, Subway Performers

I was walking around in a funk when I happened upon some Hendrix riffs; and leaned up against the Times Square pillar in my yellow parka and just listened. I was the only one around and the guy was playing his heart out. When he finished song one, he looked up at me, grinned and said, and now for a real classic. With that he launched into Hey Joe - where ya goin’ with that gun in your hand… My blues vanished. I understood what a touch of music could do for you. Deposit a few bucks in his case and on my way to wherever.

Yes, music can pull you out of time…and those momentary funks we find ourselves in.

James: Thanks for that link. You obviously grok all this.
