Break Dance 3191

I just upgraded from Photoshop CS to PS CS 3. Hey, they’ve added some nice stuff over the last - what three or four years? What’s my favorite thing so far — probably sorta dumb, but the way it scrolls in bite-sized pieces when I’m doing some masking and headed off the screen, rather than making a big swoop to who knows where in CS and earlier versions. I like that a lot.
The Edge Refinement box makes it almost too easy to do a nicely blended mask. I mean, you can preview your edges 12 different ways; there’s little hints about what each thing does.
What else. I’ve just been working in it for a few hours, so I have a way to go - but the workspace is better, i.e. the way you lay out various tool windows…
I don’t know what smart objects are - but I remember reading that they were a big deal so I’ll take a look at them next. And thankfully it hasn’t hogged memory so far.
Why am I writing about upgrading Photoshop with a picture of break dancing?
I don’t know - I’ve had this picture in my head for a long time now that we’re heading back to the land of Hooverville — tent cities — and that pre-WW II fiasco. So why not mix the latest and greatest technology with a break dancing for a few bucks. When the brokerage firms collapse like this - the technocrats may be fighting for the best breakdancing spot.

You will love the color to black and white conversion - you can even do it as a layer and tweak it later.
