Snowman, Great Lawn

Don’t know if I need to keep tagging these with the 40D since that’s the only camera I’m using these days. Although it might be interesting a year from now.

Whatever.

I’ve been printing a lot from this camera, and regularly doing them at 12 x 18, even at 3200, without any real problems. Which is to say that at 3200 and 12 x 18 there’s a nice film-like feeling. At 400 ASA it’s artifact / grain free. I’m doing all my printing through Lightroom now. All in all - a very productive month or so - and it’s about time I put some of these new images up for sale.

This latest look for your website, I think is the best. I really missed not being able to scroll down and see those wonderful photographs.

I think this is the best. I was experimenting with having one image per page, but that really doesn’t work well for me.

Dave, I like the look of this theme better, but I think the background grey could be just a little lighter. It would provide a better contrast for reading.

Secondly, could you post your philosophy on publishing photos here and how you select photos for sale in the gallery. Your comment about shooting with the 40D and “it’s about time I put some of these new images up for sale”–intrigued me about your shooting and selection process.

Hi Dave, are you using any other lenses than the 30mm SigmaI on the 40D? If yes, you could maybe label your images with lens information…
When I look at your recent pictures, I’m very much tempted to by this glass.

It’s all the 30mm Sigma.

It’s so CUTE! A print of this would make a great Christmas present for someone’s mom.
