Such is the angst of modern day survival. Two hundred years ago she would be a milk maid hopefully pulling on the teats of her cow, grateful for the “bounty” of God and nature. Today, exhausted and frustrated, full of anxiety and near the breaking point, she collapses on to her package of Bounty paper towels. What has been the price of our modern day bounty? Why are we so miserable and lonely in our sea of plenty?
