Very nice.
I’m leaving work at 3 pm. Hopefully I’ll have some time to play in the snow.

Richo - it is strange for me. Normally it’d be a week or two before I’d even see these shots. I did about 125 shots today, and these two are not necessarily the best - just the first two that I felt like “developing,” in my well-lit digital lightroom :)

It was a very rapid transition to digital this time around. I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever be going back to film world - but I’ll just take it one day at a time and see how it progresses. Right now - I’m enjoying the process very much.

Ended up ordering Lightroom yesterday because it does several things better than Nikon Capture NX’s software.
Used the Nikon D80 today for a client’s project to document things for a lawsuit. Its very fast and the photos are excellent, 10.2 mps.

Dave, it feels like I will soon follow you. New Nikon cameras are getting better and better and soon time will come when I will switch I know.

You know what is interesting on your new image from D40 or maybe it is results of The LightRoom? Well they are very difficult to distinguish from your film shots. At least from images on your blog. Your first digital tour with 20D and small canon A??? (do not remember what you had) produced images which were clearly different from your film images. Now I would say there is no difference.

Richard:

You should consider the Nikon D80. It has many of the features of the D200 but is much cheaper. The camera is 10.2 megapixels. I also have Nikon D70 and D50 which are both 6.1 megapixels. The results with the D 80 are unbelieveable. The camera can suit in B&W by using a monochrome mode. I still prefer to shoot in color and convert to B&W in Photoshop.
